About The Practitioner

Ever since I was a little girl, I have wanted to help people feel better. When I was 10 years old, I would go around to all of my parent's friends and offer shoulder massages, hand massage, even the occasional foot rub.  I always got the same response- "You have magic hands!"  It became obvious what my career path would be.  My love for healing people with my hands, along with my passion for comforting pregnant mothers led me to become a Birth and Labor Coach (now often called a Doula) as soon as I graduated from high school.  When I was 19, I enrolled myself in massage school.  I received my Massage Therapy License from Health Quest Foundation of Integrative Therapies in 2004. I then studied at the Institute of Natural Healing Sciences and earned my certifications in Prenatal, Labor and Delivery, and Postnatal Massage.  I have a very holistic approach to massage.  I believe that each individual is unique and as such, requires a massage session tailored to them.  I believe that our bodies speak to us through the language of sensation, and it is my job as a therapist to customize your treatment to how you are feeling at a particular time.  This means a variation of pressure, as well as time spent on a specific area.  Rumi wrote, "Everyone has been made for some particular work, and the desire for that work has been put in every heart." I can't think of a better way to sum up how I feel about my job.  I look forward to serving you!
